Aston Martin Sari Concept
Inspired by the sari, the dualistic nature of the car combines the industrial and rigid sensation of metal as well as the soft and fluid sensation of cloth. This concept was a study in both material design and material dynamics. How does a brand exude both characteristics in a physical space?
The exoskeleton and the shell of the vehicle is made of a nano composite of aluminium-oxide polymer as well as graphene (being an excellent conductor of electricity as well as a strong and flexible material which can also be transluscent!).
The combionation of these materials allow a truely unique material design study
As visible from the sketches the wheels look bigger in proportion to conventional wheels. This is because the wheels are not conventional in any way and are segmented in deffernet parts, using suspension unique to itself and deleting the need for air to be filled, thus making it lighter and more efficient.
The outer rim and tire segmented into parts combine with spokes to form a suspension system of its own!
