Thread Wall Installation

How does one create the feeling of an abstract yet ethereal experience within a workspace? Something that would rather belong in a modern art gallery? This was precisely the concept behind this thread installation art piece for travel app giants Make my trip. Columns of carefully chosen durable threads with high tensile strength were installed using acrylic bases on the top and bottom. The threads were used to create an ethereal look of seemingly intersecting planes with spaces in between for people walk around and experience it. Around it are screens displaying company information hence creating gallery like area within the workspace.
